To thee and thy company I bid a hearty welcome!
The Tempest, V.i
Grace Elizabeth graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University Chicago, pursuing her B.A. in Theatre with minors in Art History and Shakespeare Studies. Her academic work focused on ancient Greek theatre and Shakespeare and incorporated her interdisciplinary background as an art history student. Her research has also focused on women throughout theatrical histories, propelled by her experience as a founding member of the Women in Theatre ensemble at LUC.
Grace Elizabeth has stage managed a wide variety of professional productions with companies such as Laughing Stock Theatre, Chicago's premier commedia dell'arte company, and Griffin Theatre Company, whose most recent productions were Jeff-recommended and nominated for two Jeff awards in the 24-25 season. Grace Elizabeth has the ability to make the most complicated productions appear streamlined and effortless -- a skill derived from her experience with new and devised works and site-specific, outdoor, and/or immersive theatre settings.
Her work as a stage manager has been informed by experience as a director, actor, technician, and designer. Grace Elizabeth believes that theatre is the most powerful storytelling medium, and that every person has a story to tell.
